Santa Maria Design House (SMDH) officially began activities in July 2009 with a pilot project for the development, manufacturing, and testing of an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) requested by INPE (National Institute for Space Research).
Since April 2008 SMDH was performing tasks related to codification, verification and digital flow in partnership with the group of companies working on the Digital TV project.
Counting on a team of digital and analogical engineers, uniting the best chip development professionals coming from semiconductor companies, having Master's Degrees and Ph.D's, SDMH's objective is the design of integrated circuits from specification to prototyping and manufacturing (third party foundry) of the chip.
As a member of the DHs group of the CI-Brasil program, SDMH together with the universities, public and private companies will make possible the political initiative of the federal government which spreads the development of nanotechnology and capabilities of Brazil in the microelectronic market.
